Battle Is Near – Feather & Kangaroo Hide Wall Art

Battle Is Near is one of Randy’s favourite handcrafted creations — a striking wall-hanging artwork inspired by the powerful imagery, symbolism, and visual traditions of North American Indigenous art.

Created from a combination of genuine Australian kangaroo hide and authentic Australian bird feathers, this large-scale piece brings together natural materials, texture and movement to create a bold statement artwork.

Randy personally collected the feathers as part of his long-standing hobby of collecting naturally sourced bird feathers, giving the piece a deeply personal connection to nature and the materials used in its creation.

Measuring approximately 130 cm long × 60 cm wide, Battle Is Near has an impressive presence and is designed to become a focal point wherever it is displayed.

The artwork represents themes of strength, courage, determination and resilience, while the natural feathers and hide create an organic connection to the natural world.
